Matt & Shea Photography has been and always will be family-owned and operated. Through the years we have had the privilege of many amazing photographers coming to work with and for us but in the end, they decided that they wanted to keep the studio a family-owned and operated business. Matt & Shea Photography started 20 years ago as Matt’s Photographic Design in a garage late at night on Matt’s computer. It started with a simple logo and social media page on MySpace. After the MPD days, a new name emerged based on Matt’s faith, that name was Image Photography. For over 16 years Image Photography has led the way in portraits in the Chattanooga Area. But as time went on, Matt wanted a more personal touch, Image sounded too corporate and frankly, it wasn’t just him anymore. His daughter Shea had been working for Image for over 6 years and as a graduation gift, he changed his studio name for one final time to Matt & Shea Photography to honor his daughter’s accomplishments in the field and to let everyone know that they are not a “Big Corporation”. Coupled with their 3000 sqft studio that includes a viewing theater for print and product selection, a dedicated newborn studio to help ensure the baby’s safety and the room’s sanitation, and a huge custom-designed 1500 sqft studio shooting area with decorated scenes to help create the perfect portrait. They have collected the tools, expertise, props, and passion to create your family’s desired portraits.
